“Claudine Meinhardt’s Winning Formula
Claudine Meinhardt is a San Antonio-based singer, songwriter and guitarist. Her day job, though, is chemist.

For almost a decade, Meinhardt has worked for an aerospace company that’s tasked with the job of keeping the T56 engines of the Air Force’s workhorse airplane, the C-130, flying.

Meinhardt grew up in San Antonio surrounded by family members who introduced her to a bit of everything musical from classic Mexican songs to hardcore country, from conjunto to ‘60s rock. She started making music at the age of 13 on a pawnshop electric guitar. She’s played church-rock and punk, and, inspired by Texas artists such as Terri Hendrix, Rosie Flores, Sisters Morales, Walt Wilkins, Susan Gibson and Charlie Robison, Meinhardt jumped headlong into songwriting and into getting more serious about playing guitar.
